The key points
- This website sets no cookies and uses no tracking or analytics tools.
- Fonts, graphics and scripts are hosted on our own web space. No content is loaded from third parties such as Google Fonts.
- There is still no contact form. The input field in the customer area transmits nothing to us; your browser uses it to go straight to the sign-in page of your own cockpit.
Visiting the website and hosting
This website is hosted by the provider Mijndomein in the Netherlands. Processing takes place within the European Union. We have a data processing agreement with the provider (Art. 28 GDPR).
When you visit the website, your browser transmits technically necessary data to the server, in particular your IP address, date and time, the page requested, the amount of data transferred, the referrer, and your browser and operating system. This data is processed to deliver the website and keep it secure, for example to fend off attacks. The host stores it in server log files only for as long as is necessary for these purposes and then deletes it. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in operating the website securely and reliably (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
The connection to the website is encrypted using TLS (https).
Contact by email or phone
If you contact us, we process the details you provide, such as your name, company, email address, phone number and the content of your message, in order to answer your enquiry. The legal basis is taking steps prior to entering into a contract (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR) or our legitimate interest in answering your enquiry (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR).
Our email mailbox is also operated by Mijndomein within the European Union; a data processing agreement is in place for this as well.
Customer area and downloads
In the customer area you enter the short name of your business. This entry is not transmitted to us and not stored; it only lets your browser open the address of your cockpit. Use of the cockpit itself is governed by the contract concluded with you and by the data processing agreement.
The app files for Mac and Windows are downloaded from the same web space at Mijndomein that hosts this website. The same server log data arises as when you open a page; we do not collect any further data in the process.
Recipients and transfers to third countries
Your data is received only by us and by the service provider named above, who acts on our behalf and on our instructions. No data is transferred to countries outside the European Union. We do not sell your data or pass it on for advertising purposes.
How long do we keep your data?
We delete your details as soon as they are no longer needed to handle your enquiry, and no later than 12 months after our last contact. If an order results, we keep the necessary records for as long as commercial and tax law requires (usually 6 or 10 years, Section 257 of the German Commercial Code, Section 147 of the German Fiscal Code).
Automated decisions
No automated decision-making, including profiling (Art. 22 GDPR), takes place.
Your rights
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability (Art. 15 to 20 GDPR). An informal email to info@vogelsai.com is sufficient.
Right to object: Where we process data on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR), you may object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is:

Data protection in our products
This policy applies to the website. How we handle our customers’ data in the Vogels platform as a processor is governed by the respective contract and the data processing agreement.

We update this privacy policy when the website or the legal situation changes.
